Check now to see if your body has any of the following characteristics!
When you think of mutants, you probably picture superheroes flying around and shooting laser beams from their eyes. But that’s not true.
Body mutations may not make you a superhero and save the world in dire straits, but there are some things that are guaranteed to be super rare and make their owners truly unique if they’re lucky enough to own them.
1. Having a thumb with 3 phalanges or having an extra finger
Only 1 in 1000 people are born with a sixth finger and 1 in 1000 have three phalanges in their little finger. However, this is not a physical defect and even has great advantages.
Doctors even found that the brains of these people were fully capable of controlling the extra limb and no cognitive overload occurred.
2. Have an extra rib
Most people have 24 ribs (12 pairs), however, it is possible to have an extra rib on the right, left, or both sides. The extra rib is present at birth and can sometimes go unnoticed throughout a person’s life.
It may not even show up on an X-ray because it can be mistaken for a thin strand of tissue. It may sound dangerous, but extra ribs are usually harmless unless they put pressure on blood vessels or nerves.
3. Have “golden blood” – only about 50 people in the world have it
The term “golden blood” refers to a specific blood type that is extremely rare and precious – Rhnull, blood that completely lacks the Rh antigen. In 1961, an indigenous Australian became the first person to have this blood type. Since then, only about 50 people have this spectacularly rare trait.
4. There is a small hole in the ear
0.1 to 10 percent of babies around the world are born with a hole in their ear, and it’s essentially an abnormal fusion of the ear region. Not much is known, but the condition is thought to be associated with infections, pain, and swelling.
5. People with super strong “unbreakable” bones
People with this mutation, which causes the body to over-activate the LRP5 gene, have abnormal density in their bone structure. Their bones are so strong that some even report difficulty floating when swimming.
6. Uncombable hair
A mutation in the controlling genes causes hair to develop a condition called “spun glass hair,” which means your hair becomes so dry and frizzy that it’s practically impossible to comb flat no matter how hard you try.
7. Rare Muscles on Your Wrist
Place your palm on a flat surface, then touch your pinky and thumb together while lifting them slightly. If you see something unusual happen, then congratulations, you own “Palmaris Longus”.
It is hypothesized that the Palmaris Longus acts as an anchor for the skin and muscles of the hand. Only 30% of people possess this feature on their body.
