After nearly four years of laughter, heartfelt commentary, and memorable Friday nights, Gogglebox favourites Roisin Kelly and Joe Kyle have officially parted ways with the beloved Channel 4 show — and fans are heartbroken.
The couple, who made history as the first Scottish pair to appear on Gogglebox when they joined in February 2022, revealed they have not been invited back for the upcoming season 26. In an emotional statement shared via TikTok, 26-year-old Roisin confirmed what many fans had feared: Channel 4 has decided not to continue with their participation.
“After three and a half years of sitting on the sofa, Channel 4 have decided it’s time for Joe and me to stretch our legs,” she wrote. “We were not asked back for season 26.”
Saying Goodbye to the Gogglebox Family
The announcement marks the end of an era not only for Roisin and Joe, aged 28, but also for many viewers who found comfort in their presence every week. Known for their witty, down-to-earth banter and strong representation of Scottish culture, the couple quickly became household favourites.
“We are leaving the Gogglebox family,” Roisin continued. “We couldn’t be more grateful to Studio Lambert for the opportunity — the experience has actually been so mad, and we will miss watching TV with you all on Friday nights.”
She added: “It’s been an honour to represent Scotland as some of the first Scottish people on the show and prove we don’t actually need subtitles.”
