A father is devastated after the tragic loss of his 7-year-old daughter, Olivia Blackmer, who succumbed to her injuries following a murder-suicide committed by her mother. The mother, 32-year-old Tranyelle Harshman, fatally shot her two daughters from a previous relationship, as well as two of her daughters with Olivia’s father.

Olivia fought for her life in the hospital for five days after undergoing brain surgery, but ultimately, her body could not endure the trauma. Her three sisters—9-year-old Brailey, nearly 3-year-old Brooke, and 2-year-old Jordan—were pronounced dead at the scene in their Wyoming home. In a crowdfunding post, Olivia’s family shared that she “fought so, so hard up until the last minute” and is now reunited with her sisters. They explained that despite medical intervention, her condition worsened, and there were no remaining treatment options.

Before taking her own life, Harshman called the police, confessing to the killings and providing the locations of her daughters inside the house. Authorities from the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office found her still alive at the scene, but she passed away in the hospital the following day, February 11.

Her husband, Cliff, acknowledged that while she was not “a monster,” she had long struggled with mental health challenges, including PTSD and postpartum depression, for which she was receiving treatment.

Quinn Blackmer, the father of Olivia and Brailey, expressed his overwhelming grief, describing the loss as unbearable. He takes comfort in knowing his daughters are together and with their other sisters. He also extended his gratitude for the support received through the GoFundMe page, thanking donors for their kindness, prayers, and encouragement, while requesting continued thoughts and prayers for his family.
